Sport Sciences and Health
Education
Our faculty offers degree programs preparing for the teaching profession in Physical Education as well as for careers in Sport Coaching, Sport Management or Preventive Health. We provide high quality teaching, primarily within different areas of sport sciences and health. In general, all classes are given in Persian.
BSc Sport Sciences
This degree course offers you the opportunity to study Sport and Exercise Science at one of the Iran’s leading universities. The degree program duration is four years. You will develop your knowledge and understanding of the Sport and Exercise Sciences in the four disciplines of exercise physiology, motor control and sport psychology, exercise pathology and sport management. You will also take a series of modules that have been specifically designed to develop your research, vocational and employability skills, placing you in a best possible position to secure appropriate employment upon graduation. A good number of practical courses will be taken instructed by national level coaches and faculty members throughout the degree.
During the four years study you will embark on a compulsory first and second year which provides a platform for future years. In the last two years you will get advanced knowledge within different disciplines where you will further develop your knowledge, understanding and discipline-specific skills with more in depth study and prepare yourself to continue to master degree.
The graduate job market is highly competitive, so having first-hand practical work experience can help you have some job opportunities. Nowadays, application of exercise training in treatment and prevention of different diseases, improving lifestyle, as well as its implication in sport performance, has produced so many job opportunities for sport students. Examples of recent placement destinations include: physical education teacher, personal trainer, coaching, health adviser, talent development administrator, strength and conditioning coach.
